    [New PC] Video card descision

So I am building a new PC on NCIX.. and I am wondering what everyone opinion on the Radeon 5970 is.. I know it's a good card. But..

    Is it worth the money?
Is there better setups with Crossfire?
    What would you guys pick?

Anyways, here is the build in the PCbuilder (Hasn't been price matched yet)
NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection.

You guys can feel free to tear it apart and tell me where I am spending too much money or that sort of thing. But what I am really after is "what video card options would you consider"

Also if I do go with the 5970 I will put one of these on it.
NCIX.com - Buy Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 5970 VGA Cooler for ATI 5970 Video Card - ACCELX5900 In Canada.

Anyways. Lemmie know what you think, pros, cons, suggestions. Whatever. The more input the easier it is for me to make a smart descision.

    And thanx.

My only cons is your harddisk, if i were you, buy 2 1tb ones. But thats my opinion ;]

About your graphic card, Do it. Its worth every penny, and thats coming from a nvidia ******.
I Never did crossfire/SLI, cuz i never felt it was needed, but if you wanna crossfire then, go ahead \o/

Yeah see, I feel the same way about SLI... I just wonder if you could Crossfire 2x5870, or anything else and get the same result as the 5970 for less money...

I also agree with you about the HD, dunnoe why I only have 1 checked atm :P (Thanx)

Are you set in your ways on ATI or would you use Nvidia if it was cheaper/better?

The 5970 is the most powerful card on the market, but not the most powerful configuration (nor the cheapest for the power).
Two GTX 460's in SLI are equal to if not better than a 5970, but that would require going intel as there are very few good sli AM3 mobos.

So in addition to what ac asked: AMD fanboy or is your configuration fluid?

Edit: Something like this: NCIX.com - Canada's Premier Computer Store - Great Technology, Service and Selection. , also gives you the option of crossfire in the future, as it supports both techs

Look at your post, now back to mine; Now back to your post, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate content, it could look like mine. Look down, backup, where are you? You're scrolling through threads, reading the post your post could look like. What did you post? Back at mine; It's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again and the reply is now diamonds.

Fastest videocard in the world is the SAPPHIRE HD 5970 4Gb Toxic. OC'd to 900Mhz instead of the standard 725Mhz. Also, it has 4Gb of ram instead of the normal 2Gb.

It's also a complete and total waste of money
