les start shall we does anyone know how hackers hack??
they hack by looking for holes and gaps and ways to get into a computer and if you take the time to read and not be lazy i bet anyone could become a really good hacker mabey work for the goverment and what hackers do is they go out and buy manuals on computers and stuff like that and they jest study that

Hacking isn't just read a book and BAM pro. People who hack have a passion for what they do, which (In my opinion) should be true with anything you do. There is a thread posted about this somewhere.

Its hard to get someones IP address from a chatroom. You can 'whois' a user in IRC chat but the host name or IP address you will get is that of their ISP.

To get someones IP you need to have a direct connection from your computer to theirs. When you have a connection established (example: sending a song or image file to someone else) open your MS-DOS window and type netstat -a or netstat -n

This will list all current connections, their host names and IP addresses.

Or create a php/mysql webpage and tell them to visit and set it so it records your ip.
