Question about blizz and private servers

Sup all ive been playing wow since 2005 i started on a private server but it started having alot of problems and shut down...since i could not find a reliable one i dicided to play retail ....Now i miss the good old days but i dont wanna give up all the work i did on the Blizz server .. So my question is this : is it posible to play on both Blizzard and a private server just by changing the realmlist.wtf file or will that mess up my Blizz account ?

Switching from live Blizz servers to Private servers will not affect anything at all and Blizz has no way of finding out if you play on Private servers or not , so your Blizz account is safe from bans if thats what you're worried about . You can keep switching as much as you like and no harm will come to either of your accounts .

one more thing^^ if you forget or just cant reload the old realmlist use the repair thing (just a little advice =P )
