Need an outside opinion (tattoo)

Thinking about getting a new tattoo, kinda torn as to what direction to go in... want to incorporate my Irish heritage into it, specifically a proverb that I like-

PHRASE: Coimhead fearg fhear na foighde
MEANING: Beware the anger of a patient man

A brief explanation- I've wanted a larger tattoo for a long time, and I wanted to get something with meaning to it. I read this quote the first time over a year ago, and it is something that I feel accurately describes me, I'm typically impossible to bother, but when you finally find the right button... well, its not nice.

The celtic cross was more into the heritage (I'm not religious), and to hold the words together without just having words across my back... if i did something like that I'd be on par with the white guys who have a japanese symbol for chicken and rice on their shoulder, a tribal band around their arm, and something random from another culture on their stomach.

Not a big fan of crosses in general but especially crosses with skulls kind of make me feel less of a person.

He said he wanted them on his back, and I'm sure he doesn't want them down his arm like that because he probably doesn't plan on getting a tattoo for scene kid points and (I would imagine) he'd want a regular job where he can expose his arms at some point in his life.

I'd say if you're going to go with one of the crosses, don't use the one with skulls on it.... when you're 50 years old and playing catch with your son you're going to feel like an idiot if you have skulls. I would also suggest maybe finding another symbol that you'd like if you're not religious, as a cross is sort of a religious symbol in general. But most importantly, just get it how you like it while still being conscious of what you might like 10 years down the road.

That cross is sooo generic. Find something unique. If you do a cross, find someone that will make it cooler. But I'd personally shy away from crosses with how many people already have cross tattoos... I'd say get just the writing, no cross. Or find a better symbol.

I agree, a cross is very generic, especially that design. id just get the wording that you want. or find a cooler symbol.

yea gonna just do something that covers a larger portion of my back using a celtic knot design

I think so you have no need to think anything about making a new tattoo. just contact a tattoo artist and designed a new tattoo. If you have any issue after making a tattoo then In this modern era you can easily remove it with laser .
