New Computer suggestions?

ok i am getting a new computer but i want a custom built one. my budget is:
1.5 grand
so plz tell me something good that i can afford.

Tell us what you want to do. Are you looking for a gaming rig? do you do development work? Any work with virtualization? Need new monitors with the new rig or are you using your current ones?

mostly gaming planning to use my current monitors. already got speakers keyboard and mouse.

my suggestion is you buy the chaeapest computer you can and just upgrade it, that way you only need to upgrade parts that matter. so heres my list:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 2.53Ghz - $ 360
HardDrive: Seagate IDE 320GB - $77
Gfx card: 512M HIS X1650Pro IceQ - $87
RAM: 2x Kingston 1GB - $60
=$584(without shitty computer)

thats just a small list, i dont know if you want a burner/whatever so i just gave you the things you need most.
