Speed up your computer!

Alot of people have trouble with their computer slowing down soon after they buy it, or maybe its just not as fast as it was yesterday! So im going to give you some tips for speeding up your old Pc

Step one: Lets get rid of some of that junk using a wonderfull program
Crap Cleaner! http://www.ccleaner.com/download/
Its free and it gets rid of your cookies alogn with a bunch of registry errors, I also use it to uninstall some of the things you cant get rid of (ya know like windows error pops up when you use the add/remove function)

Step two: Run a virus scan, I prefer AVG Free http://www.avg-free.us/
its a great virus scan and lol as you probably guessed its free.

Step three: get rid of some of those start up programs that you dont need (lol i mean do you really need myspaceIM yahooIM MSNIM and windows messenger starting up when your comp turns on? no) you can do so by going to your Run function and typing MS config click the startup tab and get rid of stuff you KNOW is not windows, if your not sure i wouldnt mess with it so you dont mess up your comp.

Step four: Run a scan disc...duh but hey if you didnt know now you do!
Xp users my computer then right click on the drive (c:/ d:/ etc and click tools, run the scan disc.

Step five: run a defrag,
Xp users my computer then right click on the drive (c:/ d:/ etc and click tools, run the Defragment.

this should help your computer to run much much smoother, if after all these steps your still having speed issuses make sure you have an okay amount of ram and get rid of some of your unneeded programs...seriously when was the last time you played Diablo I or Baldurs Gate ??
