[Guide] How to Add your signature or avatar to your profile. (For New guys!)

Hi, This may be SUPER common sense to some, but I see alot of people getting amazing sigs (via meow+me+others), and not using them. The most common problem is because they don't know how to add them! Heres a simple guide that'll get you on your way.
Leechers do not have access to signatures, they may have basic avatars. Please contribute to enjoy these features.

Step 1:

Scroll Over "User CP" And Select It. :: This is your user control panel, A place where you may edit many things, such as signature, avatar, info ect.

Step 2:

You will be brought to a page that displays recent thread updates and recent rep given/received. Ignore this, Look to the left side you will see about 3-4 subtopics, Ignore all of them except the first "Control Panel".

Step 3:

The Subtopic Control Panel will have 5 options, Pay attention to either

1. Edit Signature
2. Edit Avatar

Click on the appropriate Link.

Step 4:

These following steps are the most complicated, but don't fret. To start off make sure that your image fits these requirements

Signature Requirements:
1. Must be 500x100 Pixels or 19.5 KB No more.
2. Must be a readable format of picture Ex: Gif., Jpeg ect.
3. Must Fit these rules (Regular Member):

Allow Basic BBCode Yes
Allow Color BBCode Yes
Allow Size BBCode Yes
Allow Font BBCode Yes

Allow List BBCode No
Allow Link BBCode No
Allow Code BBCode No

Allow PHP BBCode No
Allow HTML BBCode No
Allow Quote BBCode No
Allow [IMG] Code Yes

Allow Alignment BBCode Yes

ADDITIONALLY.
Maximum Characters Excluding BBCode Markup: 400
Maximum Characters Including BBCode Markup: 600
Maximum Lines: 3 (90 characters per line)
Allow Smilies Yes
Allow HTML No
Can Upload Images for Signature Yes
Can Upload Animated GIF for Signature Yes
Maximum Images: 2 (includes sig pic)


Avatar Requirements:

1. Must be 80x80 Pixels or 70.7kb No more.


Step 5:

Uploading your image!

Signature:

TWO OPTIONS:
1. URL (Harder, But Works)
2. Upload Image from PC (Easisest Method)

HOW:

Just find your image, find the url or open it up in your computer
Scroll down, and select "Save Signature" or "Preview Signature" if you'd like to test it.
Were not done yet! (Check step 6 for inserting.)


Avatar :

TWO OPTIONS:
1. URL
2. Upload Image from PC

HOW:

See Signature "HOW" Section. Check for errors. You can stop here for avatars

Step 6:

Basically for signatures only. Sometimes when you click "Save signature" the Sig pic is not inserted.
To fix simply scroll to where it displays your sig and click "Insert Sig Pic", Check the upper box and make sure it is not repeated,
It should look like this SIGPIC/SIGPIC With brackets around it [][]

More Info on Signature Pictures.
1. Make sure you INSERT THE SIGNATURE PICTURE.
2. Make sure There are brackets around SIGPIC/SIGPIC ex: [ SIGPIC ][ / SIGPIC ] Without the spaces.
3. Make sure you have the / in the second bracket just before SIGPIC this is a must.

perhaps you should actually write on your guide how to actually insert an image on to your sig rather than how to get to the area where to add a sig i think thats where more people have problems. e.g. with the [img] brackets/ and the insert image button

just little idea i had, sorry if you don't want to add but just at the moment your guide doesnt actually explain how to add a sig image only how to get to the 'edit signature' page which you could have just done using a link (this might be useful to add so people can click it instead of actually doing all the tutorial steps.

sorry to sound harsh but you haven't exactly attempted to contribute much, you have no contribution threads. it doesnt have to be major breakthrough just something nice and different youve found that others may like

Hey, my control panel doesn't have the "Edit Signature" link.
Do you have to be a non-leecher for a sig?

To use signatures, you must have 5+ rep. I'll edit my post to say that.
