    Potential Exploit - Challenge Rewards

Just a heads up, I checked these forums a bit for this prior to making the thread and could not find one. My apologies if this is a repost.

As I was doing Malgrave challenges till my eyes bled, I noticed something interesting. After completing a challenge and receiving my Satchel of Scavenged Supplies, I only had 1 inventory slot open. When I tried to open the Satchel, I received the "Your inventory is full" message. After clicking the bag and receiving the error 3 more times, the 4th try actually opened the bag and gave me loot.

What does this mean? This means that loot from opening bags is determined when you actually open the bag, and not when you obtain it. It generates a new loot pool each time you click the item to open it, then checks to see if you have enough inventory slots to actually receive that loot. If you cannot, it then cancels out the action and does nothing.

How the **** does that help me? Well, I'm still trying to discover ideas, but I have a theory (seems to be working so far).

Most of the time when opening these bags, you receive 4 consumables (basically garbage). When you do receive an AMP, usually it comes with 1 other item (sometimes this is not true). When opening my bags, I will fill my inventory till there is 1 slot remaining, then open it. This gives me a higher chance to actually receive AMP's and not the crappy consumable spam. So far it seems to be holding true, but I haven't tested it on a large enough quantity of bags to really see if it helps enough. I'm running through the numbers now and recording all my openings prior to using this and after.

Please comment to let me know if this is retarded or if you can help improve upon it!

UPDATE: Current results (updating as I open bags)

Bags opened with 1 slot open:
    1 Amp - 1 Consumable
    2 Amps - 0 Consumables
    0 Amps - 2 Consumables
    2 Amps - 0 Consumables

I am confirming that this works. I have been getting two amps for every satchel I open if I leave one inventory slot open.

From opening hundreds of bags, I've just noticed that the good items, primarily AMPs, usually come with 1 other item. I'm not entirely sure how true this is, just the way it seems to me. I'm updating my results in the main post as I open bags.

Very interesting. This seems to work but I definitely need to do some more testing. Good find.

When I open bags, and almost have full inventory, the remaining items are sent to my mailbox. Am I missing something?

Interesting, maybe you have a setting turned on that we don't? I'm not really sure why that would happen.

I'll play around a little and see what I can find out on my end regarding this.

Make sure you don't have any items that can come from the sack in your inventory. Example: If you have food or pots from the sacks it will loot stack-able items and send overflow to your mail.

Bags opened with 1 slot open:
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    1 Amps - 0 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    2 Amps - 0 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    1 Amps - 2 Consumables
    2 Amps - 1 Consumables
    0 Amps - 2 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    1 Amps - 0 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    2 Amps - 0 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables
    0 Amps - 2 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables - Trigger Fingers
    2 Amps - 1 Consumables
    2 Amps - 0 Consumables
    1 Amps - 1 Consumables

    20 Bags - 23 AMPS

Have gotten an AMP every bag thus far, I believe it's really important to have no stackable items such as medi, food or consumables. The reason I believe is it will stack items and mail overflow. I have also noticed that the sacks indeed will not open if there is not enough room; which is good.

Ah yeah i forgot to mention that. I typically fill my bag with crap from by bank (FABkits, pvp items, decor, etc.)

Alright, I am officially in love.

Every bag is 95% chance to get an AMP with this method and after 18 bags I got my first Trigger Fingers... RNG but still awesome. Will update my list as I go.
