[Level 47+] Quest Exploit - Fast XP with item (Western Grimvault - Grinding)

Hello.

Tanky or Healy (stalker and fragile ones, forget it) chars are recommended for this. I did it with a level 47 Esper that got a shield and 2 healing over time spells.

There is a quest (in french called something like "System cleaning") in Western Grimvault where you have to use an item on NPCs and turn them into smaller ones.

DO NOT RETURN THE QUEST ONCE FINISHED, JUST KEEP DOING THIS



Once item is used, they split into smaller ones that have very little DPS output and that are almost squishy.

What you have to do is simple :

1. Run (if you got a speedhack, boost your speed a bit, but this is not mandatory
2. Use this item (CD is around 5 seconds) on as much NPCs as you can (I recommend 3 for a level 47 char, 4 or 5 for higher ones)
3. Once you have around 12+ minions, do what you can so that they are all at the same place
4. Spam your AOEs, they die... quickly.
5. Profit. Fast XP, Fast respawn.

WARNING, IF YOU LEAVE THE AREA, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO DO THIS ANYMORE

I do around 3% XP each time I do this. That means if you do that 30 times you level up. Is it a lot ? I don't know. What I do know is that I kill all of them in around 2 minutes and this makes a level per hour, what I do consider as fast XP.

The mobs are called twitchlings, they are flying squid things. I tried this but my spellsinger is too squishy i guess. Personally i find questing faster, atleast for me.

And yes, your char needs to be able to tank the 10-12 npcs, if you can't, it won't work.

I actually got this quest on my slinger at 46. While I had no problem killing a group of 3 (9) thanks to the t8 wild barrage snare, once the quest was complete I was no longer able to use the item!! Did you continuously drop and reaccept the quest? I've already quested beyond it now but for the sake of future pursuits I was curious...

I couldn't tell you where to get it, it sort of just all chains together from the Caretaker in the area. The whole storyline is actually pretty neat and I love the big fight after this set of quests!

It is if you go the fast track route. Going into a zone 2-3 levels below the recommended level grants about a level per hour til 48 when you run out of quests and have to dungeon/pvp grind. With this, you maintain that level per hour through 50.

Well, this is not a miracle exploit, but it is definitely a Fast XP trick if you go there at a correct level.
