    Question about: .bundle | .manifest | .patchmanifest | .solidpkg

    Yeah i know this isn't really server "emulation" per say so not sure exactly where to put this in, But when the launcher downloads the patch files ti downloads a .bundle and .manifest. These files as it has already been shown are "compressed" files. The header is 'MZ' which researching them shows as DOS Exe's (The MZ EXE File Format) however they cannot be run. You can open them up with WinRAR or other decompression programs and it shows that the files are password protected. Have tried .zip / rar / 7z, etc password crackers on it and none of them can detect the type of file it is to try to brute them. I was wondering if anyone has cared enough / tried to find the password or algorithm used for the password. I'm not a programming / coding guru just a tinkerer so any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    it is zip archive (SFX).
    use any hex editor and get data block starting with PK... (zip header)
    encrypted passwords for each file stored in extra data field in zip headers (read zip spec for more info)

    search decryption function for password in launcher.exe (with IDA)

    btw, launcher.exe also contain zip archive with files swtor.html, swtor.css, ..., js\, images\, js\swtor.js, js\swtor_launching.js, js\swtor_logging.js, js\swtor_urls.js, ...

    .patchmanifest files usually contain one file - manifest.xml:
    <PatchManifest >
    <Dependencies />
    <Name>assets_green_main</Name>
    <RequiredRelease>9</RequiredRelease>
    <UpcomingRelease>-1</UpcomingRelease>
    <TargetDirectory>{ModulePath}</TargetDirectory>
    <RequiresElevation>false</RequiresElevation>
    <Maintenance>false</Maintenance>
    <Releases>
    <Release>
    <Id>0</Id>
    <SHA1>8c328071dbb40a41000eef661078ff0352f4ae01</SHA1>
    <Name>assets_green_main_0</Name>
    </Release>
    ...
    <ReleaseUpdatePaths>
    <ReleaseUpdatePath>
    <From>-1</From>
    <To>0</To>
    <ExtraData>
    <ExtraDataItem>
    <Key>MetafileUrl</Key>
    <Value>http://cdn-patch.swtor.com/patch/assets_green_main/assets_green_main_-1to0.solidpkg</Value>
    </ExtraDataItem>
    ...
