I've been looking around and there do not seem to be any public bots active currently.

The security in this game is very good... The buddy team did an effort and made a bot, it was actually really good, BUT, 2 months later everyone got banned in a banwave.

Trion dont take very lightly on botters.

anything that requires complicated interaction with the game is heavily guarded by trion and as far as i have seen next to impossible to do without getting banned. largely to do with how trion actively shifts the location of information in your ram every time you start the game, so a bot needs to access the base address that points to where all the information has shifted. when anything finds this base address, it sets off a massive red flag to trion as there is no reason to use that information for good. this is what leads to the massive ban waves. as far as i've experimented, there is no even bad way to try and go about bypassing this system. thus be very very cautious of advanced rift bots (dont think a single one has survived a ban wave thus far)

100% correct, even the best teams out there failed at the cheat protection.

I made myself one that runs around killing mobs and loots, but I have to make small changes to the code everytime I run it so can't really share :P

Not only fishing bot, level bot is easy to do too! The only problem is that if you get reported by other people you get banned!!

A necro I know, but saw this and it interested me. Wouldn't there be a way that the program is created, and every time you open the program with Rift running it asks you to manually search/input the required information?

You can make a pixel bot with AutoIt, its also conceivable to use a bot framework like MacroGoblin, however Jack told me a couple years ago, he had no intention of making an actual Rift bot. But that doesn't mean you couldn't use the framework to make your own bot, or to record movement and make a simple gather bot. Even a leveling bot wouldn't be too hard, once you understand some basic concepts of his framework.

In regards to MMOMinion, they scammed me out of some money owed to me. They do not actually have a Rift bot anymore. When they started working on GW2, they dropped Rift.
