Insane Grinding

If anyone remembers Athenelol ('course you all do). He tried a technique which helped him reach the top level insanely quick. He was tagging mobs in his own little group while his friends out of the group burned them down, while he is still getting all of the XP. This works in Rift, I boosted my friend from 48 to 50 in 2 hours using this technique, pulling insane amounts of mobs with 3 other of our friends and burning them down. Even if he was on rested, this is still really really fast for them frustrating last two levels. We will be using this technique to level our low level 1 classes up to their highest

Actually Diesel, your method uses Athene's OLD method using instances. ste139 here is talking about world grinding. Athene did this for Cataclysm leveling I believe. He and a group of his friends all just ran around an area killing everything in sight. He tagged and tons of other people killed it. Considering the number of people who were around the respawn rate was almost instant causing and never ending stream of exp for Athene.

My friends and I did this and got another friend from 1-50 in just under 31 hours with pure grinding. That was Zero quests and non-optimized unrested exp gain. I'm sure if we figured out some better areas and crap, we could cut that time in half.

Tagging as in just Popping the Number above their head? or pulling it once and then having everyone else kill it?

remember- if they resist you have to tag them again. the attack has to do damage.
