Easy Grinding from 47-50

Hey all. A guildy of mine showed this to me, and with it I was able to grind from 48-50 in about 6 hours without moving. I've even made a small script in auto-it that allows me to farm while afk




Anyway, here's what you do. First, go here:[spoiler]

This area can hold like 6 rifts, but we're looking for a specific one. Look for one with the rift event called Golden Cascade, as circled here:[spoiler]

Once you've found it, you'll see 4 guys standing around the middle and a bunch of mound looking things in a circle around them.

DO NOT KILL THE GUY IN THE VERY MIDDLE.

Now that we have that established, the "exploity" part here is the Gildstone Deposits. They're level 50, have 4900 health, can't attack, drop loot, give reputation, experience, and respawn in about 30 seconds. I hope I'm making my point clear enough to you. At level 48 they give 889 xp, and at level 49 they give 887. I was killing 1 every ~20 seconds which was netting me 160k XP per hour.

Being a Ranger, I was able to stand in 1 spot and still be in range of 3 of the mounds, which meant the only time I ever needed to move was when I wanted to loot a pile of them.

If you're at least level 48 you should be able to easily get one of the rifts to stage 3 and then let the timer expire before killing the boss-type mob. They normally only have around 10k HP and you can just wait for some regen crystals to spawn.

Went out there. None of the rifts up had the event for this... and I messed around with an available rift to see if it might spawn them, but it never did (cleared stage 3 and it closed). Would love to try this out, but I suppose I have to either wait or keep clearing them until I get the right event.

I've actually been looking for the past 2 days for one of these rifts again. Apparently after I posted this they disabled it from spawning.

Yea, Trion reads these forums big time, like literally every "exploit" fix has been ones mentioned here, and fixed shortly after they were posted.

Yeah, it's obvious Trion is reading this forum. If you look back through the posts, they took action within hours of any "major" exploit being posted here.

Like Nevir said, making a pay forum doesn't really negate that at all. I'm sure they pay for the bots, guides and expoits like anyone else to make sure there isnt anything really there.

Going "invite only" doesn't really solve the problem either. It would be too difficult to verify a person wasn't at Trion. Unless you made disclosure of a previously unknown exploit/hack mandatory for invite on faith that Trion isn't going to sabotage it's own game -- but that would also make for a pretty small community in the end.

it most likely isn't legal, where as reading on a public forum is fine.
