TehCheat is likely the one that will be updating ExileAPI. Qvin has kind-of dissapeared. Zaafar and Stridemann sometimes try to update offsets as well. I will be trying to update HUD-Basic, but I'm still undecided if I want to release it day 0 (for free).
Also, the discord is closed to the general public.

As of now, we're still going to be quite picky about who we add to the discord channel (strong reputation here, etc.), but I'll post here when I have something working and will likely have a post in the POE Buy Sell Trade section so people know how to get it.

Interesting. So my guess it that this will eventually lead to the end of public hud unless someone else steps in and updates the public version. Though I am 1000% perfectly happy to pay for a supported, working HUD. My main gripe with PoE is the sheer amount of clicking (it's an ARPG yes I get it) but all the shards for example don't stack... this eventaully leads to some RSI for me personally which is why I generally speaking rely on HUD for the pickit and stash functions. Either way, it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Let me preface by saying, I have donated on many occasions over the past two decades to guys developing addons to games. Developers need donations to keep creating these kind of things.
However, when things go from public to paid, thats usually the beginning of the end for a project like this. Happens more often than not.
1) The project gets more heat from the original game developers because they are now profiting directly for it's use.
2) The project ends up having less features, because developers now have stupid customers, instead of stupid users. Customers that complain when something doesn't work exactly in the way they want it to, or they are too lazy to figure it out. Developers end up dumbing down the project to lessen the support needed.
3) Pirated versions of the addon end up polluting places like ownedcore (haha), jsp, etc. New users don't even know where to get the most legitimate version.
4) You end up with less collaboration instead of more.
The list can go on and on. I have rarely seen a free to paid transition creating a better product in the end.
Best of luck to you guys, I think everyone here is supportive no matter which direction you take.

ExileAPI is not going paid. He's just planning on doing a donation drive to get it updated day 1 (if possible) instead of the devs playing the league and getting to it when they feel like it. As I'm sure all of you are aware, the start of a league is important. Updating offsets makes whoever is doing it basically miss the first day or two of the league.
