Thank you very much for this tool.
ive been looking for a exclusive particle remover for maybe 1-2 years now never managed to find one always only stuff that was either dodgy or had stuff in it i didnt want at all geting near my client (zoomhack sound notifications and whatnot)

New experimental pre-release - remove dead bodies : https://github.com/vmv/PoeSmoother/releases
- added an option to remove dead bodies on kill. Do not use this if you are a summoner or using skills like Detonate Dead...there is no body left to rise or destroy.
- added an option to remove all pets/critters.
There could be errors, so it's for testing purpose only.
Thank's to those that are willing to test it and report any unusual behavior of the game.

First, thx 4 this tool. The remove bodies could help alot on slower pcs esp on fracture maps. Ironically this is the only option that could GGG consider it as a hack, since it disables Monsters to cast spells on corpses as well like CE

New release : ZERO Particles - thanks to the creator of poeNullParticles! : https://github.com/vmv/PoeSmoother/releases
- added an option to remove all particles from the game with just one click, (i have used poeNullParticles to set all files to 0, a lot of them... ).
There are two separated folders in config folder, one with original game files "restoreParticles" and that should not be touched, and another one with all files set to 0 value .."replaceParticles" .
The good part of this is that if you want to have your skill untouched, just go to "replaceParticles"..and delete the folder that contains your skill/effect you want to see in game...or any other effects.
All other options are still available ofc, and i already removed them from "replaceParticles", to have them separately.
Also i have added the poeNullParticle.exe inside the config folder...just in case someone need it.

Are you able to change the appearance of gear with this tool?

I know its not really the purpose of this thread but what do you think about making a tool for using alternate MTX skill effect ?
It is easy to make ?

Mobs that are using dead bodies to hit you with blood, are still working on my tests....those bodies are server side i think. And the Necromancers, are always resurrecting mobs, even if we can't see them....they are still there for mobs.
I didn't tested that far anyway. .
I saw a problem with Vagan, he vanishes when you kill him, and must go out/back to have him alive again .

Yes you are, but i won't do that...i don't want GGG to think that i'm creating mtx effects with this. Take the tutorial and do it yourself if you want to change the colors or effects of a skill.

Is not easy but can be done. But again, GGG would not be happy with that...basically you take their second source of incoming money...MTX's ...

nvm, i just found out, but yeah i just realized how in fact how easy is that, i only replaced 8 files so i could swap the entire flameblast to the demonic MTX one...

hey been using this awhile and ive been getting crashes while using this while using flameblast and prolif in docks.. not sure if its burn prolif or the sea witch spawns or what but yeah
ive been using the version before the no particles one u just released if that helps... hope u can fix it thanks <3

If you are using the experimental version...try not to use "remove bodies on kill"...that version is not working. Try without it and see if there are anymore crashes.
Latest version has that fix...
Other then this, there is nothing to cause crashes..i didn't touch this skills in any way.

ya its not crashing anymore with the bodies being removed turned off..
ill download the new version.. github was down earlier for some reason only reason why i didnt update :P

with remove dead bodies option enabled: - corpses from already killed monsters are dispalyed again after re-zoning. i guess its known and cant be avoided(?), just wanted to inform in case its not working as intended.
(and ofc the bodies are serverside.. so nvm my point in the other post . Even if there was an advantage, the free-mtx possibility may be way more severe in their eyes.
btw. i guess resetting the values before patch is a good idea

Yes, after re-zoning all usable bodies are still there. In a fracture mode map, i think is good not to see them when you are in action, killing things. After clearing the map, doesn't matter anymore, they won't create much lag.
