ControlSend or different method to send keystrokes to background PoE window

Hey,
as the title says i need to find a way to send keystrokes to a background poe window.
I tried ControlSend with AHK but cant seem to make it work

PoE has internal checks to see if it is in the foreground before processing the input. You need to get around that in whatever way you see best.
