is overlay dead?

Does overlay exist anywhere? I remember a couple years ago it was very popular, then a ban wave of sorts came out, and I, like a lot of people, got scared and never used it again. How is it currently, if it even still exists? I don't immediately see any sort of "overlay" on the program page.

Really it was the features that told me what things (strongboxes/essences/etc) are in the instance. The second feature I liked was all the icons, monsters, etc, on the map itself.

It exists as an open source project. (https://www.ownedcore.com/forums/mmo...3-release.html (ExileAPI 3.13 Release)). Difference between now and what you remember is that now it doesn't have any driver (i.e. there is no one person driving/maintaining it). So it is only as accurate/performance-efficient as people contributing to it can do.
