This is what I did, but then I followed the extra instructions stated here: GitHub - IlliumIv/ProximityAlert: Proximity Alerts that said
"Extract assets.zip into the compiled output folder. Mostly customisable through the .txt files but some things are hard coded because I'm too lazy to clean them up."
In order, what I did was:
1. Open poehelper
2. Click on the "PluginAutoUpdate" button in the top left.
3. Now click on the "Add new Plugin" button just to the right.
4. Insert the URL of the plugin (GitHub - IlliumIv/ProximityAlert: Proximity Alerts)
5. Close poehelper.
6. Open poehelper (which now installs the plugin I assume?)
7. Close poehelper again.
8. Go into the poehelper instal folder. Head into the Plugins/Source/ProximityALert folder, then double click on the "assets.zip" and extract the contents from there into the Plugins/Compiled/ProximityAlert folder.
9. Open back up poehelper, click the "proximity" plugin so it's ticked and then in the "Fonts" dropdown menu across to the right you should now be able to select "default". Then underneath that you can click on the show alerts/sounds for whatever you need.

I edited the PathAlerta with this:

No sucess. Of course I made a bear.wmv sound and placed in the right folder.
I am missing something I guess... just dont know why. Do you have any idea?

Nope, I've never had any luck attempting that either. Which is why I'm always so unbelievably grateful for the members of this community who offer help, do the work and provide this stuff for us.
