I am working on an emulator for the game but I am struggling to move from character select to game server. Does anyone have any insight into the process for PoE? I am replaying packets (packets are decrypted and I NOP'd the encryption and decryption calls in the client. I have verified client is sending plaintext as well) and had assumed that the login server would send info to client for gs, the client would then contact the gs, and the connection would be established. My game server is listening on port 6112 but never receives a request from the client. Is the login server actually telling the gs to reach out to the client? Some other method? I am using ApateDNS to temporarily bypass all DNS requests but don't see any when character select is sent the gs info anyways.
Could hosting both servers on the same loopback IP cause issues? I wouldn't think so, but I'm still new to this.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
