Hey you guys! Im back with a new thread!
Im posting this following up thread, to let you guys know
- that there are for infact programs out there, that can affect your play in AoC if you do not have the greatest pc of all time!
I wanna start out with this little nifty tool I found on Age of Conan Mods - ConanMods.com - Age of Conan, Addons, and More!
- Its called Age of Conan Quick Start.
Its a bacis program, that you install on your harddrive and then afterwords configurate.
This is what the program window looks like:
Now you see, you have a numbers of option and how to configurate your AoC
- As for example, skipping the many intro movies and jumping right to the login screen
(And yes it does work! I've tested it on my own pc!)
You got other settings as applying process priority and "fps boost".
But you can allready see that! So hurry up and get over to Age of Conan Mods - ConanMods.com - Age of Conan, Addons, and More!.
Download @ Age of Conan Quick Start.

So I though I would sho another "FPS Booster" then the one in AoC Quick Start that has also seen the light!
And its called Aoc: FPS Booster Launcher by solariz (Creater of Chatmod for WoW)
And this can be found on Curse's AoC Site: Age of Conan Addons | Age of Conan @ Curse.com
What this little program do is (and I quote):
"This tool is a pre Launcher for AoC it simply execute a DirectX Call "timeBeginPeriod(1);"
Many FPS player know the trick to improve Framerate by opening Windows Media Player and let it active in background.
This tool actual do exactly the same effect but without wasting Ressoucres to the Mediaplayer."
And this is what it looks like:
See what you need to do, in order to get this to work!
1) You download the program (find link after this explaning!)
2) Place the program inside your Age of Conan install folder.
3) You make a second shortcut to your desktop, by right clicking the AoC icon and select "Send to -> Desktop (Shortcut)"
4) You have to correct this "New shortcut" to lead to your FPS Booster (right click and select "proberties" and make it look like this:
"YOUR_AOC_DIRECTORY\AoCFPSBoostLauncher.exe" YOUR_AOC_DIRECTORY
-so for example
"C:\Program Files\Funcom\Age of Conan\AoCFPSBoostLauncher.exe" C:\Program Files\Funcom\Age of Conan
Now that you have configurated this, you just click the shortcut, the CMD window pops up, saying some stuff and after that AoC lunches!
(WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO HAVE BOTH FPS FROM AoC Quick Start and FPSBooster - THIS USUALY WORKS THE OTHER WAY FOR ME! So I only use FPSBooster insted of Quick Start's FPSBooster )

Yet another tool I want to introduce is solariz's: Age of Conan: Custom GUI Patcher
This is what it looks like!
What this little application does (no need for install) is it updates your Custom XML files with the latest patch number, by taking it from the Default UI XML file!
As you see you need to configurate a little.
- By pressing the "R" button, thats just beside the AoC path, if lets you browser between your folders, finding where YOU installed YOUR Age of Conan!
- After you configurate it, you select the tab "Patcher" and press "< Tonight we wade in Blood >" (Another work for "UPDATE" )
It now runs a few lines and brings your Custom UI up-to-date!
Simple and nifty!

The last thing I wanna introduce is Advanced Video Control & Options!
This nifty little addon lets you twick the game, furhter then Funcom lets you!
This is just THE thing for me!
This lets me tweak my game a little, disabling and enabling things, that makes my old computer run Age of Conan even better!
Forced Low Q vs High Q:
Extra things in Video under "Tweaks"
Go download this nifty addon @ Advanced Video Control & Options | Age of Conan Addons | Age of Conan @ Curse.com
Added
If you own a Nvidea base grapich card and know how to work your way around the control panel, then TURN OFF V-Sync!!
V-Sync does when turned on:
Quality > Performance
And when turned off:
Performance > Quality (Meaning more fps )
Known this for a long time, but I just forgot to add it, sorry
