any tips on how to narrow these things down faster?
takes so damn long, really slows down getting maybe 2 gone at a time after about 800

just think of different things to do... like for example... if you were scanning for if you were hidden or not, instead of just hiding and unhiding... try moving around and scanning for "same as before" or maybe go for a swim and scan "same as before"
