FFXIV Bot (Some issues and I have some questions)

So, I started writing a bot and for the most part it works.

However, SquareEnix was really smart when they designed the game this time around. There is a problem when it comes to the memory reading.

Basically, when you start fishing, the skill window comes up, and you get the gold text at the bottom below the 'lure type' that only changes when a fishing action changes. So I decided, that would be the best way to read the memory of that part, and do something in the script.

Well, I found out that the memory of the chat window and the box will be the same at least once, plus the actual starting point of that chat window changes fairly frequently. (I think it's around once an hour).

Anyone have any idea how I could scan for the correct string in memory, and update the hex in real-time? I think it would be fine normally, but when you do a search for the string: "You feel a nibble." for example, it comes up like 6+ times in CheatEngine. So even if AutoIt can search for it, I can't figure out how i'm going to find out which one is the one I want.

Sometimes it's the first one, sometimes it's the last or second to last.

I'm sure looking for a free bot, but I don't expect to find one :P

Have you been to MMOGlider (yes the old wowglider site) for help? I am not a programmer but they have a variety of forums for bot writing questions and an active community of members. Otherwise good luck, I'm gonna keep looking for a bot (probably not free).

There isn't much news on the glider forums.

Edit: MMOViper seems to be working on one, not a whole lot of info on it though.

I'm new here and was looking for any information on the mmoviper ffxiv bot. They have released it, and was just looking to see if anybody had tried it yet?

We released one over at ffevo.com called FFXIV Crafter. It's only $5/mo which is the same as mmopal but ours has more features so I definitely suggest checking it out to see if it's what you want.

    Frre Bot for FFXIV

To show how easy my programs are to use, I am giving one away free.

I made a class changer bot at xivhelper.webs.com and this can be used multiple times to make class changers for all classes with one click. It takes all 50 macros and moves them into one easy to set up program. I will give this away free to any one the becomes a member on my site.

You can see the video here. you tube PZ-iUkgEhvQ

    Differs

It puts all gear, actions, traits, and abilities into 1 program. 1 button to press to start it. The only thing u need to type in is the name. Nothing else. And if you want to change a piece of gear, u dont have to rewhite the whole macro, just the name. A video is on my site and you tube. If u didnt know. I also have crafting and fishing bots with video. Xivhelper.webs.com
