Let me further explain what I mean. This is not "How to AOE grind with the Squig Herder" but how you can use a Squig Herder to help level other characters, preferably AOE classes. The Squig Herder gets an ability called
Run Away! (Buff)
Path of Quick Shootin'
Instant cast 45s cooldown Requires an active pet.
You command your Squig to Taunt all enemies within 40 feet and knock yourself forward.
The great thing about this ability is that the Squig nor the player have to damage the enemys in order to taunt them, meaning that the Squig can aggroe all of the mobs without tagging them. Leaving the mobs free for a Sorc, to come in and AOE down without needing a healer and never taking damage. Meaning You DO NOT have to be grouped with the Squig Herder, giving you 100% of the experience!
The way that I have done this with friends to level a few characters up extremley fast is by doing the following.
- Depending on the Squig Herders level, and the other character find a Public Quest or another area where mobs are Abundant and closely grouped.
- Make sure the Squig Herder Uses the Tactic
- He's a Biggun (which increases the pets Strength and Toughness)
- Practice first by just using the squig to aggroe mobs, then eventually have the sorc run around first and aoe so that you can accumulate more mobs then have the Squig Taunt.
Hopefully this helps someone, I know it kind sucks that you need a higher level Squig Herder to help you level but it works great if you have the opportunity to try it out.
