Sounds like they are doing more than 72hr bans for the serious exploiters, one guy reported a 302 hour ban

@up Oh come on..... What a f...are u talking about..... It was full scale exloit, players took benefit of it, they got banned. Pure and simple.
It was very clever to ten change ban to susspension, especially that they will probably get some money in from people who purchased new account and whole PERMBAN threat will just limit the potential number/scale of future exploits.

I got banned too, I m just fully aware that I deserved it. It was a bit tough but now when they have given an oportunity to unlift Perm for 72 hours Im fine with it.

Please people, THINK before 'mailing' these items to someone else.

You really think they would activate player mail again if they weren't going to track it?
As far as i know, the vendor sell->buyback thing could work, except that servers are pretty much guaranteed to go down at least once.

i remember at least 5 times in wow when blizzard oversighted something like this (vendor item -> sold to another vendor with profit, season 2 weapons / gear without requirement, various pets/items vendoring abuse, boe crafting items that whould have been bop and others.).
you know how many were banned for that ?
0. nada. not even temp banned. ( at their worst, they locked the account for 24 h until they did rollbacks)
gold was removed, items purchase from ah/whatever rolled back. and that was all. because was THEIR oversight.

submitted a ticket last night, they asked me to give them a reply with that i accept to delete items for a 3 days ban instead of permanent.
told them that i accept that deal. let's see how is ending.

i'm on my last day from the 14 days that i have for asking for a refund.
if i will still be permabanned at the end of the day, i will open a refund ticked, open a dispute in paypal (purchased directly from their site), and next week (i have 30 days time for chargebacks) will go trough the bank with this crap.

funny thing is i posted my char name on reddit, to check how many times i did it, and i got 2 answers. ~130 times, and 300 times. i had top 2000 karma, so no chance in hell i could have purchased 130 weapons. dint sell them, dint salvage them, only combined to get a good 80 rifle . got 2 rifles, only with + power on kill, one with a summoning demon. i keept both of them, i dint intend to sell them.

i know that what i did was wrong, i expected at the worst a 3 day's ban. expected actually a rollback, thats why i dint salvage/sold items.

I exploited the 2k karma weps hard, have like 40, but i got banned for scripting, only 74h, so i guess il get to keep my weps <3

You guys do realize those weapons are not that great right? You can practically get the same stuff just from completing maps 60-70 and 70-80 when you hit lv 80.

One of my account already got reply by Arenanet, they say they will unbanned it as long as I send back a reply vouching I will delete all monetary/items gain from that exploit.

My 2nd account is still waiting for the e-mail.
