Overflow servers are same for all servers ofc. thus u cant join WvW from them, and its how the guest transfer thing will probably work. So no point in transfering. My question is, how long until a mining node respawns for a user after clearing it?

Never. Once you mine it, it's gone forever on THAT overload server. However, if you notice, at around 2a.m. and into the night, normal people go to bed. There are no more overload servers. Meaning when you wake up the next day, those overload servers at primetime are all new ones. So there's no specific time. It's safe to say one day.

Try logging to character selection and transferring to a new server. That'll do the trick.

Just tested this and still working miners start to mine!

If you have a friend to send you $$$$ and take the ores off your hands (won't be able to send to your bank after 200-250 or so ores); you can remaking new Norns and keep running to the spot. Takes a bit of work but if YOU really wanted to you could farm the crap out of this spot.
