Just don't use really dodgy sites, use good known sellers.

I would say anything under 1 million and your fine.

The more you go over 1 million the more risky. Purely because the "average" player are really stuck getting gold at the moment and anyone with over like 4 million is in the suspicious range.

hillarious, they really auto-banned everyone who was indirectly connected to some RMT over the auctionhause! guy in my guild close to 20M from crafting and a lot of titan sales from gil buyers. theres no way you can get near 20 from crafting alone tho...game hasnt been out long enough even at high margins. assuming hes not lying in the 1st place...
