just wondering why is it against bots so hard? some mmorpgs have scripting built into the game.

Unfortunately there's a lot of people / entities that think botting destroys a game and/or gives unfair advantages to the people cheating :-/

So some companies take aggressive stances on assuring they align with those values :-(

Part of me thinks for smaller games & studios it's mainly the personal feelings of the devs & what they envision for their game & how it should be played.

But hey I'm not unreasonable either at the end of the day it's their game after all they just allow us to exist in their world haha :-)
