Only a few people are reporting it as fixed. They may have done it incorrectly or could have possible been reported for bragging and have had them removed maually.

Edit: Also had people reporting more success if they have the item (Mount, pet or head) on 3 different char's. One on the main with ti in void storage. One on an alt with items in void storage and one an alt without other items in void storage. I've had people get it removed from two of the three but still be able to learn or mail the item so their main could use it.

At the moment there is no sure way to keep them but void storage seems a good place to start and we just have to experiment with the rest (other items in void storage or redeemable alone, different factions, over different servers etc)

Everything disappeared for me except item restoration. But when you send the restored items you don't get them, just an empty mail from Blizzard.
