Matchmaking Problems in Lost Ark Latest Update Causing Disconnections

The long-awaited March update in Lost Ark brought with it a bunch of new matchmaking problems. But are they really new? They seem to point out a worrying trend about issues left unattended for long periods of time.

In a recent Twitter post, the Lost Ark developers announced that they have received a multitude of reports about matchmaking not working as intended after the update.

But this comes as no surprise to anyone, as matchmaking has been a big problem for the game ever since the first players started reaching the end-game at launch.

Players Report Disconnecting From Lost Ark Servers

Although the developers have acknowledged this issue in the past, as opposed to the voice chat issue that also popped up again in the latest update, no major changes have been made to the matchmaking system.

That said, Lost Ark is working on fixing its voice chat as a priority!

From the post, it seems like the developers do not quite know yet what is exactly causing the issue. While it’s certainly not an easy task to pinpoint this kind of issue, matchmaking is an essential system.

A simple glance at the Lost Ark Reddit and you can see this started being an apparent problem around mid-February.

The emergency maintenance has been scheduled for 3/10/2022 that will hopefully fix matchmaking, at least for now.
