[Question] Making a Proxy Server

Hey guys Ok so... Like every single proxy out there

Prox Fly or VPN SERVICE ect ect...

I want to make my own proxy so that i can use it to bypass the schools goverment firewall... These proxys work like nevergotodallas but teachers catch on quick and block the url... So i want to make my own

ive tried 2 different options... My first one Hodgson Cheat works... But for some reason wont load Java :S so you cant watch youtube videos... You cant play Flash games and for some reason in school when you search facebook.com it comes up with a .exe save :S and doesnt actually load the site... Odd..

My other one i tried doing, i downloaded and installed Glype and XXAMP

It works ok ye... But this neither loads youtube videos... odd... and when you try and go on to facebook.com it doesnt load the page... And i know for a fact nevergotodallas and im-hidden is run by Glype because it is the exact same layout...

So my question is... What is the best/easiest way to make a proxy that lets you on facebook and youtube...

I will rep EVERYBODY that makes a great help towards this...

if you're running Windows for Proxy, you can use WinGate or WinProxy

If you're running Linux/BSD use SQUID for you're proxy

noooo it will be a proxy website... So i can access the website from school to redirect me to youtube for example to by pass the goverment firewall

When i try to access facebook from my own personal Glype proxy i get this error

error on line 119 at column 71: EntityRef: expecting ';'
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

Also when i load youtube videos, the video doesnt load and comes up with an error saying i will need to turn Java script on before i can watch it...

The proxy through a webpage does not load youtube because it does not have a player that can play it. I did much google'ing and searching for something that solves this, however the only ways I found were for the youtube of 08 and 09. The more recent versions of youtube have no compatible flash player that works through a proxy. The JPlayer was used previously I believe... *Shrug*

Basically there is no real way to get it to work through a proxy unless you code it yourself.

I used glype back in High School. Its a proxy not a vpn. It open source, I think.

hmm i see what your saying with the youtube... But i wonder how VPN SERVICE got it working then? Plus how come facebook doesnt work on either of the proxys :/ on my Glype one it comes up with the error

I did the 'googleing' for my own personal interests a few weeks ago, haha.

I don't know with facebook. For me I can get onto it however it wants to ask me god knows how many security questions since my proxy is in a different country. You might require Java.

A VPN actually uses the other connection whereas a webproxy just requests it from the site I believe. I'm no expert in the matter, I'm just trying to help if I can.

you can code your own proxy server by using socks4/5 protocol run it from your home pc And if u got dynamic ip also they cant block your ip(can block your isp but i dont think they will do it) so u can use it forever
