[Quesion] Native Linux WoW Bot - Software?

Total nub programmer and I run Linux Mint as well as Ubuntu. All I'd like to know is what the MMOWNED community recommends for software for embarking on a native Linux WoW bot project. I realize there are a couple great Linux threads here but none have mentioned the software and preferred languages to achieve this goal.

I'd like to build a simple bot that can manipulate WoW running within Wine from the native OS (mint). I will eventually build to integrate it within Wine but I'm looking to start simple. With suggestions I can seek programming tutorials/resources on my own. Suggestions? Any help/pointers to resources is much appreciated and I apologize if this is mistakenly in the wrong thread.
