Because C# is a dot net language and in no way related to C/C++? The syntax wasn't even modelled after it, its based on Java. Plus, who needs a book to learn C# there 1000 tutorials of people who know what their doing and then another 200000 of people who got lucky once and posted it online. In short - microsoft documented it well.

Huh? Java derives much of its syntax from C/C++. C# is related to C/C++ if you read up a bit of it's background. In addition, if you're going to learn a programming language, you're going to need a book. Let's pretend there are 1000+ tutorial online, how many of them are well-written, easy to read, and provide quality information? Microsoft did put a nice reference to the language but beginning programmers may need to pick up a more "basic" book to get their feet wet before looking at the manual. Please don't jump down his throat for requesting a C# book, even though the title does say a "C++ and C eBook Collection".
