    E-Book C# Books (Recommendations)

    Hi,

i'm new to C# and was wondering if anyone can recommend any e-books they personally used from starting C# and has actually helped them progress, i know there are plenty of C# e-books out there but i wanted to see if anyone had any prefference so it would save me time to learning stright from a good e-book.

Thanks for your input and output.

    Take a look at GameDev.nets C# Workshop
Its not an ebook, but a 'guided' self study as the poster says

I have begun reading Pro C# 2008 and the NET 3.5 Platform Fourth Edition recently, and it is quite easy to understand, even more, if you have a bit of a programming background.

Great book and that's what I used back when I learned C#, but moves pretty quickly and is pretty hard to understand for a beginner

I mostly just started programming and looking up things on Google. Then after I became good at it I read the Pro C# 2008 with .NET 3.5 book to improve my skills.

Pro C# 2008 with .Net 3.5 is an excellent book. I also heartily recommend the O'Reilly books Learning C#, Programming C#, Programming ASP.NET and C# 3.0 in a nutshell. I used Programming C# and Programming ASP.NET to learn C# way back when they were 1st editions. Very good stuff.
