Animated Gif in the Parent MDI form.

Title pretty much says it all.

I am wanting to add a .gif image to my parent form to act as a BG for my app, i have browsed several forums none actually resolving my problem only getting me more stressed lol.

I have added a WebBrowser and linked the image from photobucket, This left me with scrollbar at the bottom and right hand side of image, Once figured how to remove the scroll bars i still get left with an ugly white border on the left hand side.

I read on a topic that theres a user control called GIF89.DLL that will alow me to add gifs to VB forms, i have downloaded this and registered it, only thing is i cant find it in the VB TollBox even after adding it like told so.

Could someone please help me, Only thing i can offer in return is +Rep and my utmost respect. Thanks again

Right click your toolbox -> Select (or Choose) Items -> Browse -> Load the GIF89.dll -> Hit OK.

Your controls should end up in the toolbox now.

Take the above 'names' with a grain of salt. Don't have VS open atm, so I can't quite check.

I only get GIFGlass to my toolbox and when i try adding that to form it just dissappears lol.

Problem solved, I needed to add the image to picture box properties not the background image :$
