No. That is NOT a book you want to learn programming from. Think of it more as a reference.

navigate to a college like Stanford/MIT, you have great videos of lectures in many many aspects of software development and anything really.

I'd also recommend looking up ADTs, if i could find my book I'd make a reference, I will dig around tomorrow.
