    Is Shroud Hacking?

Is the very popular Twitch, YouTube streamer "Shroud" using hacks? There are many YT vids arguing the point. Just wondering what the hacking community thought.

    EDIT: Here's my opinion.

To pretend that top athletes don't use illegal shortcuts is unreasonable. It's rampant in the past few decades from Lance Armstrong to Mark McGwire to Ben Johnson. It's why many sports require drug testing.
The 15 Biggest Steroid, P.E.D., and Doping Scandals in Sports History

Do virtual "athletes" cheat? Yes, and there are countless examples spanning decades from Billy Mitchell and Todd Rogers to "Clara." Here's a few hundred examples primarily from the 4 years, 2013-2016, and it only covers Valve games like Counter Strike et al.
Banned players - Liquipedia Counter-Strike Wiki

The vast majority of games aren't even covered in that list, and it doesn't cover non-professional gamers, e.g. Clara. There are dozens of YouTube vids of cheaters caught and banned while streaming on their Twitch accounts. I find it unconvincing when people argue that top performers don't cheat because they're already near the top. Of course they do, and there are hundreds of examples.

    Why do players cheat?
"People like Shroud, Summit1G, and Ninja easily make $100,000 plus from subscribers alone."
"From what we can gather, the big streamers usually make $1,000-$5,000 a day from donations. If a big streamer streams for 5 days a week, that’s an extra $20,000 month at the minimum."
"We can only go off of speculation here, but streamers could easily make an extra $100,000 per month from good sponsorship deals."
The article goes on to note that Shroud makes millions in subs, donations and sponsorships.
Source: These Streamers Make Millions In A Year - Here's How

Here's another analysis of how much Shroud makes. TL;DR: $965,511.12 annually just from Twitch subs--and NOT including sponsors, YouTube, donations, etc.
reddit: the front page of the internet

Pro CS:GO players make nowhere near this kind of money. Further, pro CS:GO players don't have Shroud's aimbot-like aiming skills.

It would seem naive to believe that someone wouldn't use illegal advantages to become the second-highest rated Twitch streamer (Top 100 Twitch Streamers Sorted by Followers - Socialblade Twitch Stats | Twitch Statistics), and make millions of dollars annually.

This seems a little ridiculous. The guy was a top NA talent in the biggest FPS eSport. Not to mention how idiotic would it be to risk this career he has built himself on Twitch to cheat when he already is in the top 0.1% of PC shooter players in the world.

It's the same thing with Shroud as with McCreamy. No, they DO NOT cheat, they're just good.

Cheats are easily detected, for some reason everyone looks for the "snap". Yes that is very indicative of his aimbot. But it's not how you detect a cheater entirely.. In fact most of the cheating is done way before the kill and the aimbot is used very cautiously,, typically he only uses it, when he really wants to win the game, and someone got the jump on im... His main hack is what is called a "info lock" or a "aim lock". He uses a bot to detect where the enemy is... He presses a keybind of some sort when he is moving around and it turns his character to the next enemy.... The turning action alerts him that there is an enemy.. typically he has a range set on the cheat so it doesn't turn on people very far away.. It even seems to key (scope) in differently depending what gun he has.. This is the aim lock part...

What's amazing is how nobody can see his obvious cheating..
You guys never noticed that he has almost perfect scope ins on his kills 999% of the time? And doesnt have to aim or move his reticle more than a few pixels? In fact, the scope in's are all the same... 15 pixels horizontally to the right of the enemy players weapon (think this is done for leading the enemy and not be pinpoint perfect, and long scope in's go to the player then bounce high left, and then he aims manually back down to the right)... but this is what is called an anomaly and his cheat is changing and getting better all the time, so go back on all his earlier pubg videos to see what I mean...

You guys never notice he is always moving and towards an enemy? And always perfectly in front of him? Use this knowledge and go watch his video's, in every kill you will see he has snapped at one point or another to the location of that enemy. That's why he gets so any kills, he can see what you don't and is never caught off guard or flanked.

You guys never notice that he can spot someone 300 meters away and have a perfect scope in the second that player comes up from behind a hill and only does this when he has a kar98?

You never notice he can spawn in on a spot with 20 others and have the SCAR immediately?

He hardly aims ever... his aim is actually really shaky.. if you watch him play summit in a 2 vs 2 csgo aim map, you can see shroud is playing a bit without the cheat.... and his aim is horrible, shaky and summit is owning him... at the end,, you can clearly see hwo he changes to the one gun only and the infolocks and snaps to tie up the match.... he is also saying how he is horrible at aim maps, and clearly don't want to be in this match... There's a reason, his aim sucks.

This guy doesnt cheat, he abuses his cheat.. I've watched a lot of cheaters over the years and this guy is probably the worst i have ever seen..
Half the posts on his videos are bots prolly controlled by him,, saying how is is a pro to help cover it all up...

Time is catching up with him... accusations are pouring in and all have merit...
