I think the time would be better spent on D4 instead of a 7-8 year old game. Playing D3 without Thud is so boring. No fun, no excitement. I really dont want to go back to POE but will if Thud goes away...
-
I doubt anything will come of this, depends how much time they start to put into the next seasons leading to D4.

Do not forget how they ignored the whole world used d2loader for D2, still they banned it overnight causing the userbase decimated within a few hours.
They are just ignorant about their games, do not expect anything rational from them - be prepared for a banwave anytime!

I believe every thud user are well prepared to leave D3

Users who try turbohud for a couple of weeks usually agree on one thing, are not willing to play without it, realize all the improvements that could be incorporated into the UI and that have not been made, perhaps because it already brought them TH, so why bother, all that will take their toll if they decide to chase it. Ultimately Blizzard only bans if someone leaves them evidence. If that changes I am sure that initially only temporary suspensions will apply.
Personally I started using TH because of Blizzard's unfortunate response to the necromancer's exploit, and the mockery he made to legit users with the double experience weekend didn't even apply well. From that moment, from Blizzard I only expect one thing: my permanent ban, and then I will proceed to uninstall Diablo3 and the Battlenet launcher.

He expressed an opinion, which he did not want to clarify later and has now buried it. The thread has been closed by him without explanation

Some were paranoia for different coincidences, most are not relevant by themselves.
Something that has not been commented here and that almost went unnoticed in the official forum: one day MC closed all the threads that talked about bots, the next day they reopened. In my opinion, he tried several times to press to change some things and could not.

I don't want to be judgy, but he is a QA/UX guy based on his professional past, and after he got D3 his first 10 (100, 1000) actions are NOT related to improving/fixing the game but going after HUD/bots. This tells a lot to me about his 'passion' towards Diablo. I hope I am just not seeing the bigger picture here...

I was not defending it, I just wanted to state (all the following paragraph is just my perception, any resemblance to reality is pure coincidence ) that in Blizzard there seems to be some discrepancies about how the issue of bots is being carried out and the different tools they give advantage to some players over others. This person (whose trajectory I don't know) wanted to draw attention to this matter. Their actions are late and also left the company in a bad place. He wrote a post that caused too much commotion and they would ask him to close the thread (if someone else did, it would take away authority). A short time later he dedicated himself to closing all the threads that talked about bots, probably because it would be said: if nothing is going to be done ... what is the use ?, but this gave the image that Blizzard no longer cared about bots, and within a few hours they were reopened.
*Personally I think that the bots problem had to have been fought with much more forcefulness (the current trend is the opposite) and that the macros and Turbohud itself should have been publicly approved a long time ago, in other games like wow I understand that there are similar things accepted, they greatly improve the experience of game.

Well, I hope Diablo series will be properly "handled" by him, because D4 will need a serious amount of professionalism and creativity
