I downloaded hud, extracted it to a folder, started diablo 3 got into a game then double clicked the exe. It didn't do anything, wasn't even in the task manager processes. Any tips?

Check the logs file and antivirus software
Same. Do I need to rename a file or place it in the Diablo III main folder?

Weird.
It shouldn't matter where you extracted TurboHUD.
Do you launch Diablo 3 via the Blizzard Launcher?
I changed the filename of TurboHUD.exe to SomethingAwesome.exe and it runs without issue.
It now does the same thing for me. It will not load. I played all morning with it running. Shut my PC down, ate breakfast. Powered my PC back up, and now it will not run and the status.txt says exactly the same thing. I checked everything I know of to see if any changes were made, and nothing what so ever. >.<
Disable real time scanning in windows defender. Also check the Protection History> mine shows THUD was blocked. Recently for me at least it has been flagging THUD even though i have put it as an exception. Seems to be something in the last windows updates.
Okay I have finally got it working again. I don't know if this will fix the issue for others, but this is what I did.
(I found this by digging around on the support forums.)
1. Right-click on your Desktop.
2. Select NVIDIA Control Panel.
3. In the left panel, select Manage 3D Settings.
4. In the right panel, select Program Settings tab.
5. Check the box Show only programs found on this computer.
6. Under section 1. Select a program to customize:, click the drop-down list and find TurboHUD.exe.
7. If it's not there, click Add and Browse for the TurboHUD installation folder.
8. Select TurboHUD.exe and press Open.
9. Under section 2. Select the preferred graphics processor, click the drop-down list and select NVIDIA processor.
10. Click Apply and close.
I did not have a setting to do Step 9. but just adding TurboHUD.exe to the drop down list and hitting Apply fixed my issue. TurboHUD now loads up just fine.9. Under section 2. Select the preferred graphics processor, click the drop-down list and select NVIDIA processor.
