Please note that this has not been fixed. Nor will it ever be. The guide needs a tweek as you can get more exp.
1. Select Rumford at the gate.
2. Kill the (3) wretched mothers. (16,500 exp) Then kill the Wretched Queen.
3. Hand in the quest in Trisam (16,500 exp)
4 Accept quest from chick to goto Adria's hut. (1 minute quest for another 16,500 exp)
Kill the mobs in Adria's hut then LEAVE GAME
5. Select quest Rumford at the Gate.
Repeat...
I get one bar per run after tweeking the guide.
** For speed ignore the open dungeons except the Dank Cellar which is only at the top of the map N.W. of the Cow level pit.

Atm I'm getting 80k per run with a 19% exp gem in my helm. Will time how long it takes me to do one run from selecting the quest.

1min 50secs ~ That's on a DH with vault and run speed buff when using vault. I'm pretty sure my math is wrong somehow, but that would mean 3.2mill xp/hour

Even if it takes you 2mins each run, that's 2.4mill xp/h, so definitley worth it, thanks to the OP and Cheatertroll for the refined method.

As a demon hunter, there is also pretty decent potential for gold if you use the ferret rune on companion. Just run through killing everything and your ferrets pick up all the gold for ya!

Here's what I did.
Inferno Mode
Act 1 - Demon Hunter
Vault (trail of cinders) + Tactical Advantage (60% move speed bonus after vault / evasive etc.)
12% Move speed boots + Hot Pursuit (+15% Move speed when full hatred)
No XP Gem in helm (Using my MF gear still)

Start at Act 1: Chapter 1: Rumsford at the gate.
Vault (for speed bonus) and run straight to the cemetary killing nothing but the 3 wretched mothers you are required.
Kill the "queen mother" or whatever her name was at the graveyard.
Take TP to New Tristram and talk to rumford (by the inn)
Talk to Leah and take TP back to cemetary.
Run / Vault (for speed) straight to Adria's hut, go down and kill the guard and his pack there.
Talk to leah, TP back to town.

Running this on my DH (roughly 50k dps no sharpshooter) and only using primary fire, no hatred users at all so you keep your speed bonus.

140k xp in 2 minutes 2 seconds.
146k xp in 2minutes 9 seconds.
