GF/MF head AH trick

Hey all,

here's a little money-making trick i recently thought up. It's a bit of common sense but maybe not everyone has thought of it yet.

Go to AH, look for helms (make sure you dont look for class-specific helms). Personally i fill in '16% GF' and 'has sockets' as criteria.
I just look very fast at every item to check if theres a gem in it or not. If it does not contain a gem or a really crappy one, buy it and put in a 19 or 21% emerald and resell for alot more. This can ofcourse also be done for MF helms.

As alot of people dont know that GF is worth something, they post the helms on the AH for different reasons than the goldfind and put in a different gem or no gem and sell them cheap. These are the helms you are looking for ^^.

I did this before the patch. It's honestly worth shit now/just faster farming. Those items is worth nothing with a plain GF/MF stat, after the nerf that made those unable to work with chests, corpses, etc. They need to have some strong support/primary stats as well to be worth anything in my experience, since people will need to be able to fight with that gear on mainly. Perhaps a few 1000's can still be made there, even per resell, but the market there seems to fluctuate alot now in prices after the patch :/ Lost a few money there recently and stopped it again But if you can work out an income there, cool Always nice

i hate it when people do this. when im looking for a MF helm with a socket all i find are mouthbreathers who put gems in crap helms in the hopes that someone will buy there vendortrash.

its irritating.

i hope blizzard removes stats from gems from search values.

just bought a 24% GF helm for 500k

put in a 25% GF emerald and put on for 5m ^^

im very sorry to inform you that it already sold (and this is the second 49% GF helm i sold for 5m). It was a pure 3,5m profit i made with just that 1 helm
Think i made like 8mil gold in 1 evening with this (and that is not with hours of consistant scanning)

agreed. it's annoying to have to go through so many garbage items because they take gem stats into consideration.
