[Act1] 5 Nephalem Valor in 5 minutes

Hey! with the 1.0.3 Whimsyshire will drop just act3/4 items and maybe it will worth farming, so I looked into a way to stack 5 NV and I found this the fastest and easiest for me

The good point of this against the Watchtower on Northern Highlands is that this one is 100% here and you'll find at the very least 4-5 packs of rares

1. Waypoint to the Festering Woods:

2. Now we'll search arround the map for some pack of rares while looking for the 2 crypts: Warrior's Rest and Crypt of the Ancients

3. When you find one of them, go inside, kill the elite and go outside again

4. Search for the other crypt, usually it's on the opposite side of the map, i'll draw a map below, on the road you may find another pack of elites

5. Find and join the last crypt, kill the elite, then go outside again

6. At this point you'll have 3-4 stacks and you've 2 ways to get the 5th.
a) Search trought the map for more rares, usually there's at least 1-2
b) If the whole map is clear, go for the event on the south of the map, this pack will be a little harder, they've more damage and hp than usual but still easy killable, on this run i got an Invulnerable minions+Fast so I had to kite them to kill and lost some time, but that's just bad luck :P

7. On the south of the map you'll find a yellow mark for the event, you just have to click the stone, kill some thrash then the elite will come

Now you'll have 5 stacks and you're ready to go to whimsyshire, butcher or whatever you want on Act1, as you can see I just expent some minutes on the last pack cause it was a little harder with his invul+fast, usually you can stack up to 5 in 5 minutes really easy, the map is always almost the same, but anyway theres one of them:

Done this for a few weeks now, gather 5 stacks, clearing whimsyshire inferno with the stacks from start. Don't get me wrong, its still a really good way to stack it up fast and easy.

With a demon hunter I started to farm whimshyshire at 70k~ dps with sharpshooter stacked, glass cannon build with 15k hp or so, smoke screen, preparation, caltrops/vault, bat companion, and for shots i always used nether tentacles and you can choose between hungering arrow and the entangling shot that slow up to 4 targets to kite better if you feel caltrops/vault arent enough

100k dps DH with a lot of AS.

Clearing Whimsey is very doable on inferno for a geared DH but most other classes are out of luck unless you are really geared. No one can kite as good as DH. This is coming from a WD with 90 hours and a monk with 122. My friend is a DH with ~100k dps (with SS) and he can kite anything.

Thanks for the guide. Dont forget to teleport to old ruins and check on Sarkoth after you get stacks. He can drop a lot of yellows and tons of gold (up to 8k a run with 5 stacks and some GF gear) and he takes 10 seconds to kill.

edit: talking about elites here, obviously any ranged class can easily kite the normal mobs.

I just do Butcher runs to get stacks before Whimsy runs. If you can do Whimsy you can easily do Butcher, and it's best loot possible for the act.

No it isnt. Butcher only drops ilvl 61, Ponys can drop itemlvl 63
