Make double the money on RMAH

It probably only works once.
Essentially, you are trying to make it seem as if you got `hacked`.
Blizzard will then roll-back your account to a previous state (generally a day) so you get your character & items back.

List all your valuable items on RMAH at a "that will definitely sell" price.
Download Hotspot Shield - here or any other proxy; this is a proxy which can be used to change your `location` to a different country in order to simulate the fact that it isn't `you`.
Once Hotspot Shield/your desired proxy is up and running, login and delete ALL your Diablo characters
Remove Hotspot Shield/your desired proxy
Wait a couple of hours and log back in to Diablo
Submit a support ticket on the Blizzard website claiming you were `hacked` and that you wish for a roll-back
You'll then have all of your money you've made from RMAH sales, and ALL of your items back.


Basically free money at the expense of a roll-back. If you have a throw-away account, or if you're quitting the game, this is a good way to profit twice. (one for the original sale, and once for the second sale)

Note: For D3 rollbacks, 2+ rollbacks will result in disabling of the use of RMAH.

Do you think its possible to Double the amount of gold u have? Like use the HotSpot shield, and give the gold to another acc, then log in back with your own IP. Making a ticket about u got hacked?

The way it works currently: yes. It just restores your account to a different state. If you had 1m gold when the restore point was made, you have the same amount after the restore.

Wouldn't they check where the money did go? Since my second account will be holding the gold.

If your IP address gives the gold to a friends IP address or swaps it to another one of your accounts & then you get "hacked" by a foreign IP, blizzard will most-likely restore your character and all that was on it.

So basicly if i turn HotSpot Shield on, Gives all the gold to friend of mines acc, and turn HotSpot shield off, Log in again with my main IP (some hours between) and look at all the gold gone, but the gear is there still.

I think not.

I think if the foreign IP address takes the gold, Blizzard would track where the "hackers" sent the gold off to.

on the other hand, if your IP gives the gold to a friend, they won't think anything of it, as you were the one to initiate the trade. It's probably better to give the gold to a friend at least a day prior to the character deletions, though.

In theory absolutely, yes.

It's also not as though the account would be banned, either. Adding to your train of thought, you could use the account to get the extra money, sell the account here on OwnedCore (probably smart to list it as having used rollbacks) & then buy a new account with the money you've made. Almost all of the payout, if not all of it, would be profit, too!

They're not retarded - They wouldn't roll you back if you had only a single level 1.

Right so you buy a level 60 account, roll it back, profit, sell it, rinse repeat.

Has anyone actually done this or is this just theory? Blizz takes duping way more seriously than gold selling, and I would be a bit worried about getting your brand new level 60 account banned and all your duped items erased to boot.
