    Early Auction House Farming Guide

    Hello Everyone,

Been a very long time since I have posted here.

Anyway, here is a short guide on the tactics I have been using to get some quick gold.

Since the game was released, prices on items are incredibly volatile. Anywhere from 300g to over 100,000g for the same level items.

The way we cash in, is basically the way you do it in any AH. Buy Low - Sell High. However, the values matter. You can't just post it for very high prices, because it will never get seen in the hundreds of pages of auctions. Remember, the AH is shared amongst ALL players, not limited to server and faction like it was in WoW.

What you want is quick turnover, but high volume. You can only post 10 auctions at any one time, so you don't want overpriced items clogging up your sales.

First, you need to find goods to sell. Some are obviously more desirable than others. I'll use armor as an example.

Set the quality filter to Rare (Yellow), and enter one preferred stat. The big ones are Intelligence, Dexterity, Strength, Magic Find, Gold Find, Vitality, Experience. For the 3 main stats, try to find items with at least +10. The other minor stats will vary, use common sense.

Once you have run the search, it will come back with ~50 pages of items. Sort by BUY OUT, descending, so that the whole buyout column says N/A. Remember we are aiming for quick turnover, we don't want to bother with bidding on items that we won't get for 2 days.

Use the [1,2,3,4,5] pager to scroll through the pages until you reach items that actually have a buy out value. Anything under 1000 is probably a safe bet, but the lower the better. Remember that vendors sell BLUE items for upwards of 2500g in game.

After you buy as many items as you can afford (do NOT buy more than 10 items, unless you are going to equip them yourself), go to the Completed tab and send them to your stash.

Then view the Sell tab, and click each item. The bid price should be at least what you paid to buy it out, and then make the buyout price maybe 40-50% markup. So say you purchase an item for 500g, make the buyout 750g. Obviously 250g is not a whole lot, but this does not take much effort, and you can just let things sell while you are out questing.

If you feel sassy you can post them for higher values, like 2k+, but the market is very flooded right now, so getting a lot of small profit can be better income than trying to get max profit per item. Obviously this depends on the quality of the item too. All rares are not created equal!
