Right-Clicking Legendary's (and rares)

in the next patch they are buffing legendary's. should i right click to discover the legendary's that i have found or should i hold off and wait till the next patch to discover them?

the bigger question is: are the stats that legendary's or rares have decided once you pick them up or once you discover them?

Yes and its so-called pre-identifying an item. There is a cheat-sheet here on the forum somewhere.

its useless to keep the "old" legendary till the next patch. there is a bluepost confirming that the next loottable changes the stats for newly dropped legendarys

Unless the information given by Blizzard is false, they've said the loot is determined when the item is dropped, not identified. Identifying simply keeps D2 nostalgia and gives you a "double surprise" of finding and then identifying.

Of course, this could be a lie to discourage exactly what you've suggested. Stash all your legendaries on an alt character and hope for the best!
