Diablo 3 Beta announced on Aug 16th?

So Gamescom is this week and Blizzard is going to be there for Q&A and contests and such (although no demos will be playable).

At the bottom of Blizzards activities list there is this:

As a side note, any rumors you may have heard about a gate to Diablo’s Burning Hells opening in Cologne are completely unfounded. Seriously, nothing is happening at Rudolfplatz from the evening of August 16 — especially nothing to do with demonic invasions.

Could they announce the beta then? Or possibly just more info on Diablo?

Well, since we have little info on zones/towns/creatures/items/ and things like that right now, Since beta is right around the corner, it has to be, then im "guessing" ALOT of info will be released at the convention. Maybe along with a beta date? And possibly an open beta date? Ill be following it any way, might post stuff, if people dont beat me too it

I'm guessing it's just going to be more Diablo 3 info because it's Blizzard and they like to make me sad by not telling me dates
