You must be online to play Diablo 3!

Like the title says you are required to be online at all time to play Diablo 3.

This also includes what ever multiplayer blizzard will be giving us.

I personally think this sucks, I mean, I live in a place where if there's thunder then we have to disconnect the internet unless we want it permanently removed.

What am I supposed to do then?

I dont care really.. i got tons of singleplayer games anyways.. + i personally think this is a great feature.. since i OFTEN just play on the internet if i wanna play something.. seems kinda pointless to first lvl to lvl 99, then start lvl on singleplayer and farm exact same gear again and u gotta get those lvls again..

Overall : I can't care less about this. I guess its bad for those people sitting on a 48k modem ( i think they are called like that " and sits in middle of nowhere, i guess that want the singleplayer mode instead since they would have atleast 5k ms on the server and thats pretty much unplayable

Btw, that seems kinda odd? that ur internet goes off if u got a thunder.. personally i just unplug everything in my house and wait 1-2 hours until everything settles down..
i dont got this desire to play 24/7

You have to log into your B.net account on Starcraft 2 even if you want to play singleplayer Campaign - so, what's the deal with Diablo working the same?

@0x0 Kinda pointless to even talk about it, nothing we can do about, and if you're Diablo veteran I'm sure you'll buy it anyway.
There will be some kind of crack for non-buyers, which you'll be able to use 2, so don't worry 2 much

Crack would be probably better solution. Diablo wont be like wow, you'll also have single player, but you'll need to stay logged to battle-net (like in Starcraft II).
So I'm sure there wont be need to make your own server. Maybe for ppl who want to play co-op, but i think Cracked D3 + hamachi would be more than enough.
But if you have some money to spare... buy Diablo III and enjoy full service, I'm sure it's worth any penny (also its only one time payment, well maybe expansion set later )
