Don't use wrath or it ****s it up sometimes, the idea is to keep your furry bellow 100% and above 10-20% i think.
And you'll do just fine.

I find this is the biggest flaw. Most gear is in rifts and if you cannot farm them with it then it is useless.

I haven't run into this issue personally.
However, if you use an avalanche charge right before the rift closing counter reaches 0, it will bug out and you will need to spend another 750 fury.

I don't think so or maybe it's broken in different way now. Something weird happened to me about 10 minutes ago on EU: while fighting Butcher, my Avalanche got bugged in a way that I could use all 3 charges, click Whirlwind once and all 3 charges would almost instantly recharge.I was able to keep doing that for about 30 seconds then I messed up or did something that broke it.
