Diablo 3 Auction House Exploit - Max your bids (Best profit)

Please note: This is the opposite of an exploit described in this thread: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/diab...ough-gold.html (Win all bid items on AH, if you got enough gold.).
We are making profit out of people who try to win auctions by bidding large amounts of gold. If you are uncomfortable of benefiting
from other fellows who think they can outsmart the AH, this might not be the exploit for you.
Let's imagine your were selling an amulet with no buyout. Your item was worth around 500m in total but had a bid for only 200m.
Then came the rich guy, who really wanted the amulet for a good price, he decided to secure his bid by bidding 1b on it.

Now what was intended to happen, is that the even though there could have been one or two more bidders raising the price up to
400m, this rich guy would've still gotten the item and 1b-400m = 600m in refund. This is the way Diablo AH works at the
moment: No one gets to see the maximum bid and they have to invest the amount they are willing to pay for an item instead.

But instead of getting a refund, the rich guy got nothing else than the amulet. He was confused: why would anyone have bid
just a little under 1b on an item worth max 500m?
There's no way someone could have raised the price intentionally - the risks
of going over the secured bid are too obvious, or are they?

Item bid prices visible on the Auction House are determined not by the max bid, but the second highest, meaning that if you do
bid 1b on a 200m item, it will still show as 200m
(to a certain point, we will get to that). The price visible also applies to how much
the max bidder will be forced to pay for the item when the auction finishes.

Let's go back to the point when the maximum bid showed as 300m. At this point, with some knowledge, you realize there is a high
chance the current bid is not the highest. This is the first and only requirement for this exploit to work, you need to be certain
the bid shown is not the highest one.
Then contact a friend of yours (or log in to another account) and make sure the following
instructions are followed (from 6:13 to 13:17)

    Credits to Moldran.

With this exploit, instead of getting 400m for your amulet, you would've gotten just a little under 1b. Insane!

Actually, this is the opposite of the exploit described in your thread. This is about tricking people who use that method
to pay the full price intentionally set too high. In the thread you posted a screenshot of amulet you bid for 4m and got
for 1m, with the help of this thread anyone could have made you pay the full 4m price.

So if your thread it titled "Win all bid items on AH, if you got enough gold." this thread could very well be named
"Profit from people who think they can win all the items on AH by bidding a large amount of gold" since that's what
ultimately this exploit is all about.

    Hopefully this clears some confusion.

Whers the part where you know its 1bil bid, but only see 200m? I don't get it.. You might risk alot of money just assuming someone bid 1bil on a 500mil amulet. Lets say the price is above 200mil, but he may have bid only like 350mil, then you'd get someone else to bid lets say 500mil, then noone else bids, so you'll lose money, not gain. Unless there is some hidden mechanic I have yet to see.. o.O

Ladies & Gentlemen! This is why you only put a secure high bid when there is less than 5 minute or even 1 minute on the bid timer!

This doesn't always work, there's a good chance you will get screwed and outbid them.

    Example
    1. Current bid is 100
    2. Hidden max bid is 111
    3. You start bidding to push up the price and bid 105
    4. Your bid of 105 pushes the price up to 110.25 as it autobids for the current high bidder
    5. You bid again because his number went up by the expected 5%
    6. This time your bid will be 115.76
    7. You are now the high bidder on your own auction (or your friend's or w/e).

Not only do you win your own auction but you pay a 15% transaction fee because the auction sold.

My experience has also been that people generally save their highest and best bids until the last minute of the auction. I haven't seen many high bids sitting on auctions out there. Even items I'm trying to win.

guys... DO NOT bid on your own items. You can get banned. Point of this is to do it for/ get it from a friend

You can bid on your own items if you have multiple accounts.
