Protection Shrine + Force Armor tip/glitch

After a bit of testing, this actually works and makes boss fights incredibly easy:

1: Have at least 36k hp as a wizard (I have 40k to be on the safe side)
2: Have Force Armor rune equipped (Why wouldn't you )
3: Find a protection shrine and save it to just before a nasty elite pack or boss fight

This allows you to survive for 10 hits, maybe more if you have loh or insane regen like me.

I stood toe to toe with diablo in inferno, only had to run out of bone cages and the fireball dot. You only take 10% of your max hp as damage, I'm not sure if this is working as intended but I doubt it. I don't think they meant for protection shrine to stack after the fact of force armor.

    Enjoy =]

Indeed they do. The hardest part of the diablo fight is the first part for me due to the amount of times he teleports.
The 2nd part is fairly simple: run around the cracks with hydra shooting at diablo / tele and crystal skin away from your clone.
The 3rd part he adds a new skill in his rotation so im able to regen my life back to almost full w/o using the hp shrines.

I use this method mostly NV farming in act 3/4. Save the shrine for a pack of mobs that you just can't seem to kite and need a bit more survivability for.

My wizard has 89k dps, so things die pretty fast.

There's a couple of guides in the Diablo 3 - Guides section of the forums that should help you not rely on Protection Shrine for Phase 1 of the Diablo fight. Pretty much don't stand near a wall/edge and he shouldn't port to you.

Otherwise this is working as intended, taking more hits with a protection shrine isn't really an exploit.

Taking less damage isn't really the point of the post in terms of exploitation.

Wizard force armor takes any hit that doesn't do 200% of your total hp down to only 35% of your max... which guarantees you to tank at least 3 hits.
Protection shrine prevents 25% damage, however when coupled with force armor, that 35% max hp damage is now buffed to only 10% max hp, guaranteeing you to tank 10 hits.

That is not how it should work, it should reduce 25% of the initial monster damage and still take 35% if the damage still exceeds that. Basically the way blizzard programmed it, it's stacking wrong.

    In math terms:
    Wizard has 40,000 hp
Monster hits wizard for 78,000 dmg because no resists/armor
force armor calculates 78,000 dmg as 14,000
    (Enter exploit)
Wizard only takes 4000 w/ protection shrine (10% of max hp)

    What should happen:
    Wizard has 40,000 hp
Monster hits wizard for 78,000 dmg which is reduced to 58,500 via protection shrine
Force armor calculates damage as 14,000

If that's working as intended, then I'm a happy wizard =D

Not sure if srs. Diablo p2 is definitely hard. P1 & P3 if u do well, she shouldn't even teleport at all.

If he's teleporting, you aren't doing it right.

move only at the free zones - dont touch the walls!

P1: move between the middle and the outside walls
P2: move between the 3 cracks and the outside walls
    P3: just like P1

if you move the hole fight between the cracks and walls like 10 meters away, he will never teleport. If he run to you, use your teleport. in in all phases break the LoS by using the cracks
