    You can still skip acts after update!

    You just have to complete a quest in the act and it saves for you. I skipped from Act 1 nightmare to act 3 and finished the catapult quest. It's saved now.

    hehe.. i giggled.. i had a friend just quickly kill each acts boss, but this is very nice to know

    was already wondering why I was still able to pull this off but my mates said they could not. thought they were just too stupid.

    Yeah, I just joined a friends game for kicks to see the error. No error though. I quit and it wasn't there, rejoined finished 1 checkpoint/quest and now it's saved.

    I thought that fix was to only prevent the public game inferno 'exploit' and not to prevent people from rushing through all acts?

    it doesn't save. the second you manually change a quest or difficulty, it will erase your checkpoint and you'll be back where you left off.
